📢 ADMISSIONS OPEN FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Management of Savannah College of Education, Daboya wishes to inform the general public that applications are now open for admission into our various teacher education programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Located in the heart of Daboya in the Savannah Region, Savannah College of Education is committed to producing highly qualified, dedicated, and professional teachers who will lead the transformation of education in Ghana and beyond.


1.   AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES

We offer the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Degree in affiliation with the University of Education, Winneba. Programmes include 4-year:

  • B.Ed. Early Grade Education
  • B.Ed. Primary Education
  • B.Ed. Junior High School (JHS) Education

Note: The JHS option provides applicants with the opportunity to specialize in a particular subject area to enable them teach at the JHS level after Graduation. The subjects include; Science, Mathematics, ICT, Music and Dance, Social Studies, Geography, History, English, Ghanaian Language: Gonja and Asante Twi

Each programme combines rigorous academic content with extensive practical experience to prepare you for a successful career in teaching.


2.   📝 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:

A.      WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

The general admission requirements to the 4-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Program are as follows:

i.     WASSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the course of study.

ii.   SSSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) Core subjects, Including English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies, and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the course of study.

Note: Candidates who are yet to write the 2025 WASSCE can also apply as awaiting result applicants.

  1. GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (GCE) ADVANCE LEVEL APPLICANTS. Applicants must have passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better), and also have credit passes in (Grade6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject or a Social Science subject.

3.   💻 HOW TO APPLY

A.     Forms are sold at Three Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHȼ350) at all Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) branches nationwide.

B.     Form can also be purchased through the Short Code *924*8# from all networks.

Upon payment, applicants will receive the following key information:

a.      Personal Identification Number (PIN)

b.     An Admission Website Serial Number.

Then, applicants may visit the official Admission website:

https://admission.coeportal.edu.gh and Fill in your details, upload necessary documents, and submit your application online.


GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETING ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS

·         Applicants should use the PIN to visit the Colleges of Education admission website: https://admission.coeportal.edu.gh and follow specific guidelines to fill the online application form.

·         Applicants are advised to read and ensure that they fully understand all relevant instructions especially programs offered in a particular college before completing the application form.

·         Applicants are to note that application forms, which are not properly completed, will not be processed.

·         Applicants should select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of three Colleges of Education in order of preference for their programme of study, and must select one of the Ghanaian Languages offered in the college.

·         After completing the online application form, an applicant will need to print a copy which should be sent with one passport photograph and copy/copies of their results slip(s) (where available) by EMS priority envelope obtainable from Ghana Post nationwide and addressed to: The Principal Savannah College of Education, Daboya.

·         Applicants will be notified of receipts of their applications by SMS (text message) and should therefore provide correct and reliable mobile phone numbers when completing the application form online.

·         Applicants will also receive admission offer notifications by SMS and those who do not receive such notifications were not successful

·         Applicants are to note that the Savannah College of Education will verify their results from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) as part of admission process. Applicants found to have submitted fake or falsified documents in support of their applications would be made to face the legal consequences of their actions.

🕒 APPLICATION DEADLINE

All applications must be submitted by Sunday, 31st August 2025. Early applications are strongly encouraged.
